Valuation professional negligence expert witnesses provide independent opinions on whether a valuer (RICS surveyor, chartered accountant, or specialist valuer) fell below the standard of care expected of a reasonably competent professional, and quantify the loss caused by the negligent valuation.

RICS valuers must comply with the RICS Red Book (Valuation Global Standards) and exercise the skill and care of a reasonably competent RICS registered valuer.
